We make all our products fresh by hand, using fresh produce, and add no preservatives or additives. A natural fermentation process will start from the day of production, and speed up once a bottle is opened and exposed to oxygen. Bottles should be kept cold and refrigerated at all times, before and after opening. Refrain from shaking the bottle too much as this can create extra gas. Swirl it gently to get the sediment up from the bottom. We put a month shelf life from day of bottling on all bottles, but recommend that they are consumed within two weeks once opened. The fresher the better!

For maximum shelflife and freshness, we recommend that all bottles are refrigerated at all times, before and after opening, at normal fridge temperature. The fermentation process will happen a lot quicker if the shots are exposed to warmer temperatures, and if the temperature of the fridge changes alot.

We always work with fresh ingredients and do not add any preservatives, colourants or other regulators that would make all bottles identical. Therefore, there might be slight variations in taste and color of the ginger shots from one batch to another. Young ginger has a slightly milder taste than more mature ginger, honey has its own distinct flavor depending on flowers and season, and lemons also vary in flavor depending on farm and season. We are ok with that, and we hope you are too :) The recipe always stays the same- guaranteed!

Ginger is among the healthiest (and most delicious) spices on the planet! It is loaded with nutrients and bioactive compounds that have great benefits for your body and brain. The other ingredients used in our ginger shots (fresh lemons, raw honey, ground organic turmeric and red fresh chilli) also each come with a list of health benefits.

Currently, GingerMe only offers delivery in and around Cape Town (CBD, northern and southern suburbs, Atlantic Seaboard, Winelands etc). Team GingerMe heads out on a Cape Town wide delivery round every Wednesday. All website orders that are in by Tuesday afternoon will be delivered on the Wednesday, unless the customer has opted for the pickup option. Our Factory Shop in Durbanville is open daily (Monday - Friday 08h00-16h00) for pickup of orders.

Yes, GingerMe does have a selection of resellers in and around Cape Town. See the Reseller tab to locate the one closest to you. We also sell our products online here on the website and offer door to door delivery every week, and we have a stall at Willowbridge Slow Market (opposite Tyger Valley Center in Bellville) every Saturday 09h00-16h00.

GingerMe can be enjoyed any time of the day, but we like to have it first thing in the morning to start the day off on a good note, and/or in the afternoon when an extra kick is needed! As we like to say - a shot a day is good - more is better! Take at least one shot (50ml) per day, but don't hesitate to drink more. If you are feeling under the weather, recovering from illness or just feel that you need an extra boost - drink away. GingerMe will only do you well, so two shots per day is always better than one :)
